The newly appointed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy today slammed Chief Minister KCR and his family members and alleged that four crore people of the State had become captives in the hands of CM KCR and his family members.
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering of the party workers and leaders in his maiden speech after taking charge as the TPCC president.
Speaking on the occasion he said that he had taken the charge with the blessings of the National President of the party Sonia Gandhi and the blessings of Pochamma, Yellamma, and Laxminarasimha Swami. He said that Sonia Gandhi had made him the TPCC president to fulfill the wishes and aspirations of the four crore people of the State. He said that there was no freedom and self-rule in the state and added that the traitors of the state were enjoying the posts and looting the state. He said that the encounters of banned Maoists and others and the suicides of the farmers had not stopped in the state.

He alleged that the ruling TRS party had not helped the family members of Telangana martyrs and separate Telangana activists. He said that there was a need to chase the TRS party leaders to the borders of the state. Reddy said that the Congress party should come into power for the fulfillment of the aspirations of the Telangana martyrs. He said that the National leader of the party Rahul Gandhi would lead the party from the front. He claimed that the ruling TRS party had cheated the Dalits and weaker sections of the state. He called upon the party workers to take two years’ leave from their family members and work for the victory of the party in the upcoming elections.
Some Congress activists raised slogans stating that Revanth would be the next CM of the State. However, Revanth warned them of facing suspension from the party if they repeated the slogans. He exhorted the party cadres to raise slogans hailing only Sonia Gandhi and the Congress party.
