Congress party MP A. Revanth Reddy today took charge as the new president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) at Gandhi Bhavan here.
The outgoing president of the Party N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has handed over the charge to Revanth.
The working presidents of the party and the chairpersons of different committees of the party have also taken charge along with Revanth. Hundreds of party workers and leaders have turned up for the event.
AICC State incharge of Manickam Tagore CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah, Geetha Reddy, Nagam Janardhan Reddy, and others were present on the occasion.

Revanth left his residence and performed prayers at Jubilee Hills-based Peddamma temple in the presence of hundreds of party workers. He also performed prayers at Nampally Dargah. He took out a rally with thousands of vehicles .
The party workers have expressed their happiness over the appointment of Revanth as the TPCC chief with by bursting firecrackers.
The workers of the minority cell of the party have garlanded Reddy with a massive Garland by using a crane.
