Hyderabad: Welfare Minister Kopoula Eshwar today stated that Telangana Government will spend Rs 204 cr to provide help to physically disabled people. He asked the physically challenged people to apply from Jan 25 to Feb 6 to avail the schemes.
We have instructed the officials in this regard to make arrangements, he said. The government offers differently-abled tricycles, special vehicles, bikes, hearing aids, and others to physically challenged in the state. He informed that the KCR government is committed to disabled people in our state.
The minister claimed that the government spends Rs 1800 cr for disabled people’s welfare.
They must make use of the schemes and benefits he urged the disabled people. So far 4.95 lakh physically challenged persons were benefited through pensions, the minister said. This can be attributed to the vision of KCR to help disabled people he added.
