Hyderabad: SC Welfare Minister of Telangana Koppula Eshwar today unveiled an SC Plan for 2020-21 to empower 18525 SC youth and people in the state.
At Haritha Plana, the minister has released the SC plan of Rs 786.23 crore for the current fiscal year and asked the SCs to develop by using the same.
He distributed mobile Tiffin units of vehicles to the beneficiaries of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts on the occasion. The same will be extended to other districts also, he said. The government offers a 60 percent subsidy and 40 percent loans. Of the total funds the SC Corporation will offer Rs 500 cr towards SC development and empowerment, the minister stated.
He hoped that the eligible SC youths will make use of this scheme and empower financially in the future. The KCR Government is committed to SC development and various schemes are being implemented for the same, he said.
The fund’s allocation will help as many as 18285 youths and eligible educated people in the SC community in Telangana state, the minister claimed. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for all-round development of SCs in the state and the new scheme will help usher in a new era of growth, he hoped.
He announced that the state government has plans to empower the SC community in all sectors by offering adequate funds and by implementing plans. He said that other schemes will provide 100 percent subsidy of lands, power, water, roads and other facilities.
