Shivpal Yadav from the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia is wasting no time in moving ahead with his political allies. After making arrangements of the pact with his relative Akhilesh Yadav from the Samajwadi Party, he seems to be going in a different direction.
Shivpal Yadav Meets Asaduddin Owaisi
As per the latest updates, Shivpal Yadav reportedly had a long meeting with Asaduddin Owaisi, the Chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen(AIMIM) in Azamgarh last week. The occasion was the wedding in the family of AIMIM UP Chief Shaukat Ali. Both Shivpal Yadav and Asaduddin Owaisi attended the wedding.
One of the sources at the wedding said that both Shivpal Yadav and Asaduddin Owaisi had long discussions about the political situations and the possible alliances between their respective parties. The security personnel of both the leaders kept the audience away as they both continued their discussions. Neither of the leaders spoke to the media.

Sources also reveal that both the leaders will be (allegedly) looking forward to making alliances formally and share their seats after Panchayat Elections.
Later, Shivpal diverted the questions and queries. He further reinstated that they would make allies with the like minded parties as a union to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that his party has asked Akhilesh for his alliance. All the members of the Samajwadi party should join hands and defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party.
At the same time, he refused any merger with PSPL for now.
SBSP Chief Missed The Occasion
While both the leaders enjoyed their long discussions over politics and possible alliance in future, the Chief of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj party (SBSP), Om Prakash Rajbhar missed the event. He later said that he already had some pre-scheduled arrangements and was late for the wedding in Azamgarh. He said that their efforts of bringing of the “like-minded parties” together will continue.

Rajbhar further said that it is clear that the Bahujan and SP alliance cannot defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party alone. But they have kept their options open for joining their front – Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha.
He concluded by saying that their efforts will likely bear the first fruits in the Panchayat Elections.
Shivpal Yadav And Akhilesh Yadav Seemingly End Their Feud
Last year, the celebrations of Holi and Diwali festivals across Uttar Pradesh seem to have changed the waves between Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Yadav. They reportedly met in their ancestral village in Etawah District where in Akhilesh Yadav came with his family. As he spoke to the reporters, he refuted all possibilities of an alliance between Sp and BSP. He said that they would rather join with the smaller parties to win the elections together.
