SIT probe uncovers involvement of Bandi’s relative in poaching case

During the investigation into the MLA poaching case, the Special Investigation Team of Telangana Police has uncovered that an advocate in Karimnagar, who is a relative of BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, had booked the air ticket for Simhayaji, one of the accused in the case, on October 26 from Tirupati to Hyderabad.

The advocate, who reportedly practices in Karimnagar, also spoke to Nanda Kumar, another of the arrested accused, on October 14, after which he booked the ticket for Simhayaji on October 26.

In addition, it is learned that the police who have collected call data records have discovered more startling details about the covert operation, in which the BJP has vehemently denied any involvement. This explains why the BJP has repeatedly urged the court to stall the investigation.

According to sources, during the SIT investigation, the three accused confessed that they took up the operation at the request of the BJP’s top leadership in New Delhi, revealing why Bandi Sanjay had staged the entire drama of going to the Yadadri temple and taking an oath stating that the BJP had no connection with the covert operation and also exposing why the BJP was filing petition after petition, requesting CBI investigations and also an extensive investigation.

Another development is that the four TRS MLAs involved in the sting operation that exposed the BJP’s plan to destabilize the TRS government are now reportedly receiving threats from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.  According to sources, the MLAs are likely to file a police report soon in response to the threat calls.

The Special Investigation Team was formed by the Telangana government with the Hyderabad commissioner CV Anand as its head and other officials of SP rank and below to assist him.
