Hyderabad is set to experience heatwave-like conditions in the near future. The weather authorities have declared March 1st to be the start of summer in Telangana, citing an increase in temperature.
The highest temperature recorded in the recent week was around 28 degrees Celsius, rising to 34.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday. According to data collected by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) at several Automatic Weather Stations (AWS), the daytime temperature in some parts of Hyderabad is expected to rise by at least two to three degrees in the coming days.
According to the India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad, the change in weather is due to a shift in wind direction. The city’s night-time temperatures have risen to an average of 19 degrees Celsius as a result of this. While the official report is still pending, the city is anticipating an especially scorching summer this year. During the next three days, the IMD-H forecasts dry weather in Hyderabad, with average maximum and lowest temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
