In the latest update, Sweden has stopped administering the Modern Covid 19 vaccine Spikevax to people under the age of 30 years. The government suspects connection to the side effects post the vaccination.
Swedish Public Health Agency Refers To Preliminary Analysis
In a recent statement released by the Swedish Public Health Agency, they informed that they had referred to the preliminary analysis of data from Sweden and other Nordic countries. The data reportedly indicated that the vaccine many lead to an increased risk of heart muscle inflammation and the inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart.
These conditions were especially more closely noted with the males after receiving their second dose of vaccination.

State epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said in a statement that they monitor the situation closely and act quickly to ensure that the vaccinations against Covid 19 are as safe as possible. At the same time, they must provide effective protection against the Covid 19 virus.
The decision made by the Swedish government affects 81,000 people. However, Tegnell informed that the ones who have already taken the Spikevax vaccine don’t need to panic. He said that people must not panic as the risk is very small. However, one must be vigilant of the symptoms.
Amongst the symptoms of heart muscle inflammation and the inflammation of tissue, fatigue and shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat and palpitations and chest pain are also included.
Public Health Agency Recommends People Born After 1990 To Get Pfixer/BioNTech Vaccinations
The Public Health Agency further recommended that people born after 1990 should take Pfixer/BioNTech vaccinations until further guidelines are presented. As per the statistics released so far, around 84 percent of all the Swedish individuals aged 16 and over have already received at least the first dose of the vaccine. And around 77.8 percent are fully vaccinated.
