Telangana: Citizens are invited to suggest names for TSRTC’s sleeper buses

A reward-based contest has been announced by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) to ask citizens to come up with attractive and fancy names for the new sleeper buses that will join the fleet. There will be rewards for the best suggestions.

In a tweet, TSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director VC Sajjanar announced that a range of new AC and non-AC sleeper buses would soon be introduced across the state. Sajjanar asked the citizens to come up with attractive names for the buses so they would be remembered in the minds of the public and get closer to the citizens.

Several netizens responded with names that they suggested would be appropriate for bus services. Shenarthi, Samyati, Meghnath, Swarajy, Ananda Doot, Simhavahana, Seshavahana, Ashwak Vahan, Golconda, Maharaja, Swetha, and Vihara are some of the suggestions. In addition, there were suggestions in the name of Kakatiya Dynasty rulers such as Rudradeva, Rudramadevi, Recharla Rudra.

Recently, the corporation has been coming up with various offers, travel packages, and discounts in order to attract passengers and, as a result, increase patronage for its services.
