Telangana: Forest officials recover exotic animals from farmhouse of Chikoti Praveen

On Friday, Telangana forest officials raided the farmhouse of casino owner Chikoti Praveen Kumar in Ranga Reddy district. Just days earlier, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided Chikoti Praveen’s residence in IS Sadan.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in connection with Chikoti Praveen Kumar and Madhav Reddy over violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

A number of exotic animals were found in his farmhouse, according to the forest officials. The pictures on Kumar’s Instagram page show him posing with exotic animals and celebrities.

In Goa and its neighboring countries – Nepal, Bangkok, and Sri Lanka – Chikoti Praveen Kumar organized gambling events for high-profile Indians who paid him in cash.

Praveen has also been summoned to appear before the ED on Monday to explain the allegations. According to reports, Praveen organizes high-stakes gambling at casinos in Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, and Goa, all of which allow gambling.

A recent ED report indicated that Kumar had organized at least seven trips for gambling abroad, each flying out around 200 people on chartered flights. A number of politicians and high-profile individuals also used Kumar’s services, according to the report.

During analysis of WhatsApp group chats and Praveen’s laptop, investigators discovered the names of three ministers, 15 MLAs, and 250 other customers, including gold dealers.

According to investigators, Praveen’s mobile phone contacts contain the names of actors who promoted his casino events. Additionally, Praveen has shared photos of himself with politicians and actors.

These casinos were also promoted on social media by the organizers, and several Tollywood and Bollywood actresses were invited to perform at the events. An investigation into the remuneration of movie stars also revealed the amount they received.

In 2007, Hyderabad police arrested Chikoti during a raid on a star hotel for organizing gambling.
