Will fight against Agnipath until the end, Revanth says

It was alleged by A. Revanth Reddy that the BJP government at the center would privatize the army soon, and the Agnipath scheme is one of that proposed steps.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government offers everything to Adanis and Ambanis. As part of its plans to privatize the armed forces, the Agnipath scheme was introduced. The issue will be raised in the upcoming Parliament sessions,” said Mr. Reddy on Monday after his participation in a dharna at Vijay Chowk against the ‘harassment’ of AICC president Sonia Gandhi and general secretary Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate.

The TPCC senior vice president Niranjan claimed that the Agnipath scheme was the brainchild of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). According to him, the statements made by BJP officials and leaders are nothing more than blackmail.

Party senior leaders V. Hanumantha Rao and M. Kodanda Reddy said top army officials’ remarks about Agnipath are highly objectionable. It was alleged that the Prime Minister had become a prisoner in the hands of corporate entities.
