The government of Telangana on Monday approved funds to renovate a community hall for the welfare of the poor people in the state to the tune of more than Rs 60 lakh. The Telangana government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao renovated a community hall in the state, which was a big hit with the locals.
Over 60 lakh rupees have been sanctioned by the Telangana government to renovate the G+1 community hall. Due to the high cost of banquet halls, we use the community halls for social events in Basti. By using these halls, we are able to save money. “I appreciate all the local MLAs and the KCR government,” Mazar, a local resident, told ANI.
Another local said the G+1 community hall is a great spot for health camps, Anganwadi classes, and family functions.

It is a great relief for us to see that the KCR government has renovated the Kazigalli community hall, which cost more than Rs 60 lakh. Health camps, Anganwadi classes, and other family functions are held in this community hall. “It will be a great help for us since the majority of the residents live in poverty,” added Syed Ali, another resident.
Telangana may reimpose Covid curbs in the near future
Telangana has registered 100 positive Covid cases in the last few days. The state government is now assessing the need to re-establish Covid protocols, which mandate wearing a mask and sanitising hands frequently. A decision is likely to be made on Friday.
While the authorities had claimed there would be no fourth wave of the virus and Covid was in the endemic stage, a study by the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) revealed that 7% of the population was susceptible, meaning those who have not been infected yet and those who have not been vaccinated may be at risk.
