Telangana Health Minister Hails Drop in Malaria and Dengue Cases

Telangana Health Minister Harish Rao has observed a considerable decrease in infections such as Malaria and Dengue during the state’s rainy season. This drop, he said, was due to the effective implementation of many state government measures targeted at enhancing environmental cleanliness. The following are the main points from his review meeting:

Successful Initiatives:

State government initiatives such as Palle Pragathi, Patana Pragathi, and Mission Bhagiratha are attributed with the fall in illnesses like as Malaria and Dengue. These measures have improved the state’s environmental cleanliness.

Review Meeting:

Harish Rao convened a critical review meeting with top health department officials to analyze the present condition of seasonal illnesses in the state.

Increased Vigilance:

While these illnesses have been declining, new figures show a modest increase in fever incidence, most likely owing to shifting weather patterns. The minister highlighted the need for heightened monitoring in order to prevent further escalation.

Individuals suffering fever symptoms were encouraged to seek medical assistance at the nearest government hospital and undergo blood testing as directed by their doctor. Seasonal illnesses are often treatable with medications.

Kit Availability:

The health minister requested that NS1 kits, IgM kits, and malaria RDT kits be made available. There are now inventories of these kits, and he has asked officials to guarantee that there are no shortages.

Pregnant women and children should be given special attention, and any viral fever cases should have the proper testing performed. Cases that are complicated should be identified and referred to major institutions for treatment.

people Participation:

Harish Rao urged the people to take responsibility for keeping the environment clean and preventing mosquito breeding. In this endeavour, collaboration with local government agencies and groups is critical.

Dissatisfaction with Wellness Centers:

The health minister was dissatisfied with the performance of wellness centers and directed an investigation into their services in order to give better medical treatment to employees and journalists.

This review conference, held via Zoom, included top health officials and district officials, highlighting the government’s commitment to minimizing malaria and dengue mortality while also guaranteeing public health and hygiene.
