Telangana Heatwave Predicted from April 26

The Indian Meteorological Department Hyderabad (IMD-H) has predicted a heatwave in Telangana starting from April 26. Hyderabad reached a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius, while Telangana recorded temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius. The IMD-H report also indicates that certain regions of Telangana may experience rain until April 25.

From April 26, several districts, including Bhadradi Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Suryapet, Nagarkurnool, Khammam, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Nalgonda, Mahabubabad, Jogulamba Gadwal, and Warangal, are likely to face the heatwave. These conditions are expected to persist into April 27. Additionally, on April 28, the heatwave may extend to districts such as Jayashakar-Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Mahbubnagar.

Some parts of Telangana may see scattered rains on April 29 and 30. Weather expert T Balaji warned on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the temperatures could rise to 46-47 degrees Celsius in East Telangana and 44 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad almost every day, urging residents to take necessary precautions.

According to the Telangana State Planning and Development Society, the state may experience light to moderate rains until April 26. Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 38-43 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures staying between 25-28 degrees Celsius. In the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation areas, the weather is expected to remain dry until April 26, with maximum temperatures between 39-41 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures between 26-28 degrees Celsius.
