Telangana to Construct Multi-Level Parking near Charminar

The Telangana government is solving long-standing parking concerns near Hyderabad’s landmark Charminar by constructing a multi-level parking complex. This project will be implemented through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) based on the DBFOT framework.

The Quli Qutb Shah Urban Development Authority has requested interested companies to submit bids for the development of this multi-level parking (MLP) complex, with the bidding process set to begin on September 16.

The projected MLP complex will be roughly 3493 square meters in size, with three subterranean levels and three above-ground stories. It will provide paid parking for about 145 to 150 four-wheelers and an equal number of two-wheelers. Additionally, hawkers will be given commercial space on the basement and ground floors.

This is the city’s second multi-level parking complex, with the first now under construction in Nampally. The new complex intends to meet the growing need for efficient and structured parking spaces near Charminar by offering visitors with a modern and comfortable multi-level parking facility. It is projected to greatly reduce parking challenges in the neighborhood of Hyderabad’s historical and cultural monument.
