Telangana’s BRS celebrates 22nd creation day with eye on upcoming Assembly elections

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) commemorated its 22nd formation day on Thursday with K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the party’s president and the chief minister of Telangana, kicking off the festivities. Since the party changed its name from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to the BRS, this was the first formation day celebration.

KCR raised the BRS flag at Telangana Bhavan, the party’s headquarters, to begin the festivities. He paid tribute to Telangana Thalli alongside BRS General Secretary K. Keshava Rao and other key officials.

KCR is presiding over the BRS general body meeting, and there are 300 BRS leaders in attendance, including ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs. The gathering is anticipated to set the tone for the forthcoming Assembly elections, which are planned to take place later this year. Among other things, the leaders will debate and vote on political initiatives.

The BRS has decided not to have a plenary on the formation day due to the summer season. Instead, BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao stated that the BRS Maha Sabha, a big public assembly, will be held in Warangal on October 10.

In addition to the resolutions agreed upon at the BRS general body meeting, KCR addressed the party’s members and supporters, underlining the BRS government’s successes and development in Telangana. He emphasised the party’s dedication to the state’s growth and the welfare of its people. KCR also urged the party to continue working hard and unify in order to win the forthcoming Assembly elections. The BRS has emerged as a prominent political party in Telangana, having easily won the previous two Assembly elections. The party hopes to repeat its triumph in the future elections and maintain control in the state.
