Malvi Malhotra, a television actress, was allegedly stabbed by a man in Mumbai for turning down his marriage proposal. The charge, Yogesh Mahipal Singh, had met Malvi Malhotra a few times prior to the incident that occurred on the pretext of being a producer. After this, he pressurized the entertainer to marry her. News organization PTI reports that the episode occurred around 9 pm on Monday in the Versova region of Andheri when Malvi Malhotra was going back home from a cafe.
Yashpal, who was in a car, stopped her on the way out the door and inquired as to why she had stopped talking with him, a police official said. A heated argument followed between the two, and he stabbed Malvi Malhotra with a knife in the abdomen and on both hands and then ran.
