Temps in Dongli drop to 5.9 degrees Celsius as winter intensifies across Telangana

The winter chill intensified across the state, with nighttime temperatures dropping below 10 degrees Celsius in several districts. According to Telangana State Development Planning Society readings released on Friday, Dongli in Kamareddy had the lowest temperature in the state in the last 24 hours, at 5.9 degrees Celsius.

Nyalkal in Sangareddy had a temperature of 6.6 degrees Celsius, while Pochera and Bela in Adilabad had temperatures of 7 and 7.3 degrees Celsius, respectively. Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Karimnagar, Medak, Nirmal, Rajanna-Sircilla, Kamareddy, Jagtial, Vikarabad, Rangareddy, Adilabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Mancherial, and Kumram Bheem Asifabad were among the districts that recorded night temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius.

Several parts of the erstwhile Adilabad district experienced a sharp drop in minimum temperatures, forcing people to stay indoors, particularly at night and early in the morning.

According to reports, the minimum temperature in Pochera village, Boath mandal, was 7 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Bela and Bazarhathnoor mandals was 7.3 degrees Celsius and 7.4 degrees Celsius, respectively. Minimum temperatures in Talamadugu, Jainaith, Adilabad Rural, Neradigonda, Tamsi, Utnoor, Adilabad Urban, Bheempur, and Gadiguda mandals ranged between 7.8 and 12 degrees Celsius.

Bhainsa in the Nirmal district had a minimum temperature of 7.7 degrees Celsius, while Kuntala manda had a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in Pembi, Laxmanachanda, Khanapur, Narsapur (G), Mamada, Kubeer, and Kaddam Peddur mandals ranged from 8.4 to 11 degrees Celsius.

As per the TSDPS forecast for the State, the minimum temperatures were expected to range from 14 degrees Celsius to 16 degrees Celsius in the northern districts of the State and from 16 degrees Celsius to 19 degrees Celsius in the southern and central districts. The daytime temperatures were expected to range from 31 to 34 degrees Celsius.
