Trump Did Not Pay Income Tax for 10 of 15 Years Before 2016 Polls: Report

A media report has uncovered that US President Donald Trump did not pay his income tax for 10 of the 15 years before the 2016 political elections, and just $750 the year he ran for the presidency and in his initial year in the White House.

The New York Times paper uncovered this news on Sunday in the wake of getting Trump’s tax data throughout the previous 20 years, The Hill news site announced.

The BBC reported that The Times said it explored tax returns correlating with the President and the organizations under the ownership of the Trump Organization going back as far as the 1990s, just as his personal return for 2016 and 2017.

It said the President paid only $750 in income tax in both 2016 and 2017, while he paid no amount of income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years, generally in light of the fact that he reported losing substantially more cash than he made.

In an announcement to the New York Times, Trump Organization legal counsellor Alan Garten said that most, if not all, of the facts, have all the earmarks of being incorrect”.

Garten was cited as saying to the paper: Over the past decade, President Trump has paid tens of millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government, including paying millions in personal taxes since announcing his candidacy in 2015.

Later on in the day at the time of a White House briefing, Trump denied the accusation and named the report as totally fake news.

The BBC cited the President as saying: Actually, I paid tax. And you’ll see that as soon as my tax returns – it’s under audit, they’ve been under audit for a long time.

He included: The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) does not treat me well they treat me very badly. You have people in the IRS, they treat me very badly.

Trump has confronted legal difficulties for declining to share documents regarding his fortune and business.

He is the first US President since the 1970s not to make his tax returns public, however, this isn’t legally necessary.

In the interim, an advertisement delivered by Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s mission pummelled Trump over The New York Times’ disclosure, The Hill news site reported.

With no portrayal, the advertisement delivered on Twitter late Sunday night, includes the faces of various American taxpayers and their relating burden of tax, before contrasting their payments with the $750 apparently paid by Trump during his first year in office.
