Wakf Board gets new wings to fly; Add more vehicles to its fleet

In order to rein in the brazen encroachments over Wakf Lands in the state with the impromptu response, the Telangana State Wakf Board (TSWB) has brought three new Mahindra Bolero cars that have consolidated its fleet of vehicles by increasing the number from existing four to seven.

Talking to media persons after flagging off ceremony today, the Chairmen Telangana State Wakf Board (TSWB) Mohd Saleem, said, “As attending the complaints with a fewer number of response teams has increased the stress on the officials, the board has decided to add few more vehicles into its existing fleet.

We have brought three more brand new Bolero cars that increased the number of vehicles from four to seven. This would surely help to increase frequency while dealing with the cases of encroachments in the state.”

To protect the Wakf lands from an unprecedented level of encroachment by the land sharks in the state, he added, that the board has decided to consolidate its fleet of vehicles wherein one vehicle would be allocated for a chief executive officer (CEO) while the remaining will be used by wakf inspectors to attend the complaints of encroachments over shrines, graveyards and mosques throughout the state.

These vehicles, he further said, will be more helpful as we are planning to constitute more task force teams to prevent encroachments over wakf land in the wake of an increasing number of such cases in the city and in the state. “Recently we have even appointed few standing council members and legal officers to safeguard the interest of the wakf board and protect its properties from the land sharks as we are dealing with such cases on regular basis,” asserted the Chairman.
