Bomb Threats to Bengaluru Court and Police Office over Sandalwood drugs and Riots Investigations

Bengaluru: Two individual letters threatening to plant the bomb in the city court just as in the Bengaluru police’s office to kill the individuals who are investigating the Sandalwood drugs case just as the Bengaluru riots case were received by police and court authorities late on Monday.

The police allegedly held onto a piece of detonator-like equipment obtained from the two letters.

Bengaluru’s Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime, Sandeep Patil, in an announcement, affirmed that such letters were gotten and a case has been filed at Halasururgate police headquarters, yet didn’t unveil any details about the contents of the letter as well as in which language it was composed.

Not long after the letters were received by the city court staff just as the Central Crime Branch, the police hurried the dog squad and recovered a piece of detonator-like equipment in these covers.

The city court is inquiring high profile cases, for example, the bail appeal of Sandalwood stars Ragini Dwivedi, and Sanjjanaa Galrani, just as the Bengaluru riots case.

The letter given off to the court is said to have categorically demanded that the appointed judges must allow bail to Sandalwood stars – Ragini and Sanjjanaa while in another letter cautioned that the police authorities including Joint Commissioner Patil should recuse themselves from the inquires.

Not long after the news broke out,  two individuals from the Tumakuru region in Karnataka have been arrested regarding the bomb danger to a specially appointed judge hearing the drug case involving superstars in the state, police sources stated on Tuesday.

On condition of anonymity, a top police officer told PTI: “Two persons have been detained for questioning. They will be brought to Bengaluru.”

A family dispute in Tiptur of Tumakuru locale is suspected to be the purpose for the occurrence, he said without revealing additional information.

The individual who composed the letter had warned that a blast would be set off if what they demanded was not met.

Afterwards, an inquiry uncovered that there was no bomb inside except for some wires which made an impression of a detonator.

As per to a preliminary investigation, the letter was sent from Chelur in Tumakuru locale, the sources stated adding two individuals were arrested for interrogation.
