CM Arvind Kejriwal Demands to Scrap Farm Laws

Delhi’s Chief Minister and National Convener of (AAP) Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal on Monday demands that the farmers of Punjab at the Jantar and told that BJP wanted to take farming away from the farmers and want to hand it over to the corporates, he additionally demanded that the recently introduced farm laws should be discarded.

Kejriwal demands that the Green Revolution was given birth by the farmers of Punjab by working hard and made the country self-reliant, “Only 6 percent of the crop is procured at MSP across the country, whereas 100 percent should be procured at MSP.” Kejriwal told.

Before the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, the BJP had promised to implement the Swaminathan Committee report. Which talks about the cost of MSP being 1.5 times more but after winning the elections, MSP was forgotten by the BJP, this is the season of harvesting and sowing the fields, and farmers should have been in their fields. But rather, they are here at Jantar Mantar to protest, which is a stain on the society, The Chief Minister told.

Kejriwal also alleged that when the AAP was established, government schools were in a pitiable state. But instead of shutting these schools down, the party improved the condition of the schools.

When the Aam Aadmi Party was formed, the condition of the government schools was pitiable but instead of shutting these schools down, the party improved them, Kejriwal claimed.

The hospitals were also in a very bad state, but instead of shutting them down, the Aam Aadmi Party improved their conditions.

Kejriwal pointing towards Alkali Dal and Congress stated that: When the BJP established a committee to draft the farm bills, leaders from these parties were present in the committee, which drafted the clauses of the bills to be approved by the Centre. But now, they are playing games and doing tractor rallies.

Aam Aadmi Party’s MP Bhagwant Mann, who led the protest told that: These deadly laws are not only anti-farmer but also anti-public, anti-Punjab and anti-country, and are being imposed in a dictatorial manner.
