Media Role Good, Second Dose Soon: Health Director

In the wake of cases decline and fatalities coming downstate health director Srinivas Rao said that people can tide over crisis by following Corona protocols.

Along with DME Ramesh Reddy at the Koti office here Srinivas Rao stated that they are awaiting stocks of injections, oxygen, medicines, and Remdesivir injections from the center.

He appreciated the media for its great role to bring down cases and fatalities by continuous efforts. He also asked for some restraint by electronic media as some news cause concern to people. He asked social media users to avoid spreading false information and news to add to the woes of people or the patients.

We have urged the center to get them early and to continue the second dose and the first dose of vaccination he informed. The director informed that the people should get treatment and services in Government hospitals.  Instead, they are going to private hospitals and wasting money, he opined. Due to ongoing lockdown, the cases and deaths came down significantly he stated. He appealed to people further to avoid coming outside as it will lead to the spreading of virus cells.

He said that the corona cases are declining in Telangana with government measures. The director said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT minister KT Rama Rao are reviewing the Corona cases.  They urge the center for more jabs oxygen and medicines also Remdesivir jabs. Soon we get them and start the second dose and then the first dose he said. He instructed the officials in the district concerned to see that the people follow corona protocols during the lockdown and ensure strict norms.  We will give a second dose to people on getting more vaccines and medical oxygen and medicines from the center he said.

He said that Koti ENT hospital is a nodal center for black fungus treatment in the state. Rao said that there is no need to worry about black fungus as its treatment is available. It is a rare case to get. He said and directed officials to create awareness among people.

The government is ready to get more oxygen, injections, and medicines in the hospitals. Rao said that people should not get panicked about corona treatment.  He expressed content that the cases and deaths or infections came down in the state.

We take mire measures and vaccination drives are on to check could the virus and will come down if continued to follow protocols.

The officials were asked to get more vials of injections, oxygen stocks and concentrators, and medicines besides Remedisivir stocks from the center. The people should take treatment in government hospitals to get free treatment and avoid losing money by visiting the private hospitals. House to house survey is getting positive results of better recovery and less number of cases and deaths, he said.

Rao said that we have adequate beds, injections and providing treatment he said.  He said that the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao allotted several medical colleges and nursing colleges.  They will boost health facilities and infrastructure he said.
