Nitish Kumar likely to take oath of Bihar CM on Monday

Nitish Kumar to become the leader of national democratic alliance NDA on 15 Nov in Patna. The NDA meeting was held at the residence of Nitish Kumar in Patna. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also attended the meeting which was held to decide the formation of government in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar’s party Janta dal united has elected him as legislature party leader. During the meeting, BJP leader Sushil Modi was elected the BJP legislature party leader in the state.
Sushil Modi will also be appointed the deputy chief minister. The swearing-in ceremony might take place on Monday.

Nitish Kumar has given his resignation to governor Phagu Chauhan on Friday and has recommended dissolving the assembly.

The meeting was attended by leaders of all the four parties that had fought the Assembly elections together JD(U), BJP, Hindustan Awam Morcha Secular (HAM-S), and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).

The NDA has won 125 seats in the 243-member Bihar Assembly where BJP got 74 seats and JD(U) with 43 And the Opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance won 110 seats.
although the BJP has won the highest number of seats in the NDA alliance, the Chief Minister seat is given to the JD(U) as promised by the Bharatiya Janata Party before the elections.

It is speculated that due to the upcoming Chhat Puja on 20 and 21 November, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form the government before the puja on Monday.
