Telangana Surpasses One Lakh COVID-19 tests Per Million Population

Hyderabad: With 43,916 additional tests directed over the last recent 24 hours, Telangana has surpassed the one lakh COVID-19 tests per million population and become the seventh Indian state to accomplish the achievement, authorities said on Friday.

The Telangana  state’s number figure is 1,00,670 samples  covid tested per million population. The national average is at 65,772.

Delhi is at the top of the list of states with 1,93,399 tests per million population.

The Telangana government at first went under a great deal of criticism for not doing enough necessary tests, but increase the numbers afterwards.

The state is presently directing 40,000-50,000 tests every day which, authorities state, is a lot higher than the daily target of 5,600 every day and the World Health Organization, WHO, the benchmark of 140 tests per million population every day.

The state has 17 government-operated research facilities, 44 private labs, and 1,076 Rapid Antigen test centers.

Out of 43,916 tests directed during the last recent 24 hours finishing 8 pm on Thursday, 41,698 were led in government research facilities and Rapid Antigen test centers.

The state announced 1,554 new cases, taking its count to 2,19,224. Out of these 23,203 are active, including 19,251 people for home isolation.

Upwards of 1,435 individuals recouped from the infection during the period, taking the complete number of recoveries to 1,94,653.

The state’s recovery rate climbed further to 88.79 percent as against the national average of 87.5 percent.

Seven additional individuals passed away to the infection during the period, pushing the loss of life toll to 1,256.

The casualty rate stays at 0.57 percent as against the national average of 1.5 percent.

Authorities said the percentage of passings because of COVID-19 was 44.96 while staying 55.04 had comorbidities.

The Public Health and Family Welfare Director’s office said that out of 2,19,224 cases up until this point, 70 percent, 1,53,457, were asymptomatic while staying 30 percent, 65,767, were symptomatic.

The information shows that 63.9 percent of positive cases are in the age range of 21-50, 22.91 percent over 51, and 13.18 percent under 20.

Authorities said 64.64 percent of positive cases were men and staying 38.37 percent women.

Of the new cases enlisted during the most recent 24 hours, Greater Hyderabad represented 249 cases, trailed by Rangareddy locale, 128, Medchal Malkajgiri, 118, Bhadradri Kothagudem, 95, Khammam, 88, Karimnagar, 84, Nalgonda, 79, and Siddipet, 49.
