100 Percent Compensation If Govt Takes Assigned Lands : KCR

Leader of the House and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today stated the government is not taking away the assigned lands from the people.

The Chief Minister informed the house during a brief debate on Haritha Haram and related issues in the Assembly in the monsoon session here that there is no truth in the remarks made by the congress members that the government was taking away the assigned lands. It is not true and we are not for that he said adding that the government is not taking any lands. The government is taking some of such lands only for development purposes at some places, he said.

The CM further said that the government does not intend to deprive the people of their lands. We have to take some of the lands only for the purpose of the development programs like irrigation and others in such places, he informed the members.

The government offers compensation to such lands and there is no dispute he clarified. The CM said that the opposition members can bring such cases of acquisition of assigned lands to take action. As far as possible the government will not take such lands and if taken for development we give 100 percent of compensation, he said.

Since the government should not deprive the people of their lands we give compensation, he said. The government offers compensation on par with those who have got patta lands, KCR said.

We are giving lands for Dalits and for development we need to supply water in that area he said. For that we have to get some piece of land and ensure that water is supplied to that places he reasoned.
