At least 13 people were killed Wednesday as thunderstorms strikes in parts northern and eastern India
9 people were killed and four others injured as a thunderstorm and high winds lashed parts of western Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday evening.
Most of the deaths were caused by falling walls or trees in Etawah and Mathura districts.
A 15-year-old boy was hit by a lightning bolt in Hathras and another was crushed under a tree in Agra, Principal Secretary Information Avanish Awasthi said.
A week after a deadly dust storm and thunderstorms lashed several areas in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. At least 80 people died then in Uttar Pradesh.
