24,543 villages get Mission Bhageeratha water

The state government is supplying drinking water under the Mission Bhageeratha scheme to 24,543 villages of the state.

This was revealed by state panchayat Raj and rural Development minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao while replying to questions raised by MLAs in the ongoing budget session of the state on the issue. He said that they had expanded the scheme to Bhadadri Kothagudem district.

He also said that they were providing water to some tribal villages resided by the tribals came from chattisgarh state and added that a total of 74 such tribal villages were benefiting from the Scheme. He said that the works under the scheme were being delayed due to the ongoing works on some National Highways (NH) . He said that they were also giving water o hamlet villages. He said that he had already written letters to all MLAs of the state on the Mission Bhageeratha water.

He said that they were supplying the wager by using solar power where there is electricity power . He said that the CM of the state KCR was the architect of the massive scheme and added that the scheme was being implemented in the direction of the CM
