3 BJP legislators were suspended from Telangana Assembly for causing commotion

Three Bharatiya Janata Party members were suspended from the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Monday for causing a commotion during the annual budget presentation in the House.

The suspension was issued by Speaker P Srinivas Reddy as they began raising slogans in the House, even as Finance Minister T Harish Rao was presenting the State Budget in the House, which began its session on Monday.

Wearing black stoles, three BJP legislators, Raghunandan Rao, Raja Singh, and E Rajendar, raised slogans in an attempt to disrupt the Finance Minister’s speech. As a result, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav submitted a resolution to suspend the BJP members. The motion was read out loud by the Speaker, and the three BJP members were suspended.

They were opposing the Government’s decision to begin the Assembly session without the Governor’s speech. The government contended that because the House had not been prorogued, the sessions did not have to begin with the Governor’s speech.

The Chief Minister is said to have instructed all Ministers and officials to attend to the Assembly with all information in order to deliver a strong response to all problems highlighted by the Opposition parties during the Cabinet meeting.
