46.55 percent turnout registered in GHMC polls

Hyderabad: In the GHMC polls, the overall percent voter percentage was 46.68.

While Kanchanbagh recorded the highest voting percentage of 70.39 and Yousufguda was the lowest with 32.99 percentage. The poll body has informed that total voter turnout was put at 46.68 percentage.

In the previous GHMC polls in 2009, 2016 the poll percentage was even less, the election Commission claimed out of 150 divisions only 149 went to polls barring as Old Malakpet that was canceled due to misprint of the CPI symbol with CPM.

According to a release from the state election Commission on Wednesday, the voting percentage was more compared to the previous year’s polls. The polling was increased by the end of the election process. The poll body has said that the total voter turnout was put at 46.68 percentage.

It said that the poll percentage was 42.04 and 45.29 in the 2009 and 2016 polls respectively.
