Government of Gujarat announced that free Internet facility through WiFi is now available at 253 public places in 55 towns of the state.
This Internet facility is being provided under the state government’s “Urban Wifi Project” being implemented in association with private service provider-GTPL, an official release said.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani appealed to them to cover smaller towns also to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi Digital India imitative.
According the press release 1.65 lakh users registered, Wifi has been covered at public places such as offices, hospitals, bus stands, courts and libraries.
