Tollywood Hero Akkineni Nagarjuna and Telangana Badminton Association Vice President V Chamundeshwarinath on Thursday presented the Ford Eco Sport car to International Badminton player Sikki Reddy who had won bronze medal at Commonwealth Games at Gold coast, Australia. Nagarjuna gave away the car key to Sikki Reddy for her consistent performance in last 3 years at a meeting held at Gopichand Academy here on Thursday.
Star Player PV Sindhu, Chief Coach Pullela Gopichand, Chamundi Daughter Ramya, who was the host of the entire program attended the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Gopichand said “It is great to see Sikki come back with a kind of strength she has and she is truly inspirational for all players and as a coach, I’m very happy. She has put her heart out and soul. She is just starting to get the results. Whatever great medals, she has won till now I believe are still tip of the ice berg and hope that with this inspiration she do much better. I thank Chamundeshwarinath for supporting another player. Really fantastic for this support over the years words of encouragement, support to the academy and hope to continue this.”Tollywood Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni thanked Chamundi for his spirit in encouraging the sports persons. “I enjoyed watching Sikki match during PBL. God bless her with all success,” said Nagarjuna.
