As many as 97 lakh people of the Telangana have received the Covid virus vaccine in the state so far.
The Director of the Directorate of Public Health (DPH) Dr. Srinivasa Rao revealed this. He said that of the total vaccinated people, 83 lakh received the first dose of the vaccine.
He Said that 2.2 crore people of the state would still need to be administered the vaccine. He said that they were carrying out the vaccination process through 100 vaccination Centers.
He also said that they were carrying out the vaccination drive through 24 mobile vans. He said that vaccines were being administered to those who are above the age of 30 years. He said that they would reach the mark of 1 crore during the next two to three days.

He said that the state would get 21 lakh doses of the vaccine in the month of July,2021. Referring to the decision of the state government to reopen all educational institutions from July 1, he urged all the teachers to take the vaccine by producing their ID cards.
Commenting on the delta plus variant of the virus, he said that the variant had not been spotted in the state.
