ACB catches GHMC official red-handed while accepting bribe

On Thursday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a computer operator of GHMC red handed when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs. 2,000 from a civil contractor.

Computer operator/assistant to Richa Gupta, Deputy Commissioner – Circle 8 of the GHMC, allegedly demanded and accepted bribes from civil contractor Omer Ali Khan at the behest of Richa Gupta for doing official favor.

In the chemical test, both hands of Satish produced positive results.

Both accused persons were arrested and brought before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court at Nampally. A further investigation is underway.

Peddapalli sub-registrar, official caught for taking bribe

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths also caught a Sub-Registrar and an office subordinate on prior to this for accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000 for performing an official favor at the Sub-Registration office in Peddapalli town.

Sub-Registrar Devanagiri Nirmala and office subordinate Srinivasulu, according to the ACB, demanded Rs 60,000 from complainant Pudari Srinivas for his land documents. The Sub-Registrar had previously also accepted a bribe from the complainant in exchange for doing an official favor.

When the Sub-Registrar demanded more bribe, he approached the ACB, who set a trap for them and caught them red-handed accepting the bribe.
