AICC Spokesperson demands for dismissal of Minister Malla Reddy from the Telangana Cabinet

Hyderabad: AICC Spokesperson Dr Sravan Dasoju on Wednesday demanded for dismissal of state labour minister Chamakura Malla Reddy on allegations of land grabbing activity in Hyderabad. Minister Malla Reddy along with his son allegedly threatened the aggrieved person whose land has been willfully grabbed and fenced by force. It is reported in the media about the Minister’s alleged land grabbing issue and an FIR has been filed against him. “So, we demand the Chief Minister KCR to immediately dismiss the Minister Malla Reddy from the council of ministers”, Dr Sravan asked.

According to the senior Congress party leader, a leading Telugu Daily published an article on Malla Reddy who has allegedly grabbed 20 guntas of land, out of 2.5 acres, at his colleges located at Suraram, Hyderabad. As per the report, that land parcel is located between two colleges belonging to Malla Reddy. Therefore, he and his son threatened the landlord to sell the remaining land parcel to them at a price fixed by them. Otherwise, they would kill that person. Upon receiving the complaint by the aggrieved person, the Dundigal police have reportedly registered an FIR on Malla Reddy, his son Bhadra Reddy and five other followers.

“On the basis of a complaint registered against the Minister in a police station, he must be immediately thrown out of the state Cabinet and punished rigorously”, Sravan demanded.

The AICC leader further demanded to take intense action against the similar land grabbers in the cabinet and also on the MLAs who have been threatening innocent citizens in the state. “Pathancheru TRS MLA Mahipal Reddy also allegedly abused and threatened a journalist for writing an article on his land grabbing activities. So, he must be punished under the court of law”, Dr Sravan said.

The senior Congress party leader accused the TRS government for entertaining the public blood-sucking leaders over the last 6 years. Due to the leniency by the high command, the TRS leaders have been vehemently resorting to land grabbing, corruption, threatening people etc. “To prevent further such activities by the public representatives, it is suggested to bring all of them under the purview of Lokayukta in Telangana”, he suggested.
