Andhra Pradesh Objects Telangana on Krishna Board Visit to Rayalaseema Project

Andhra Pradesh government today stated that it will not allow  Telangana state officials or leaders to be a part of an official team of the Krishna board to visit the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project on August 5.

The Government objected that it is not ready to allow anyone from Telangana state to visit our project site.

ENC of AP Narayana Reddy said that the government decided to deny permission to Telangana state team to visit the site during Krishna board visit.  They urged the board to not allow those from Telangana to visit the site. The board will visit the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project at the Pothireddipadu lift site on August 5.

The visit by the Krishna Board gets important as the Telangana government sought the centre and board to visit the site to get clear details to avoid a loss to it. He also informed that the government will not give details of the projects being objected.

A coordination committee meeting of the Krishna board and Godavari Board was held at Jala Saudha here.

They discussed with two States officials on the Gazette released by the centre and sought details of the projects and sites from two states.  AP officials denied giving details of the projects being objected to. 

The boards suggested they give details of the projects and submit any objections on the sites and projects to the centre.

The AP officials said that they will go as per the government directions and sought clarity on the Gazette notification issued.
