Another jolt to Congress: Nakrekal MLA Lingaiah too to join TRS

Hyderabad : The main Opposition Congress party has received another jolt as its MLA from Nakrekal Chirumarti Lingaiah has decided to quit the party and join the ruling TRS party.

This is the second consecutive blow to the Congress after two of its sitting MLAs Rega Kantha Rao and Atram Sakku decided to quit the party recently. Lingaiah also met with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and expressed his desire to join the ruling party. Minister from Suryapeta district G Jagadish Reddy played a pivotal role in convincing Lingaiah to join the TRS. Following the development, Lingaiah has gone into a hiding. He also switched off his phone to avoid the party leaders.

The decision by the two-time MLA has shocked his political mentors Komatireddy brothers a lot. They not only played an important role in getting the ticket to Lingaiah, but also worked hard for his victory. (NSS)
