Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday heaped praises on his Telangana counterpart, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, over the encounter of the four accused of sensational Disha murder case. He said that he was saluting the Telangana CM for taking a bold decision in the issue. The CM made these remarks while addressing the Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, he made it clear that the brutal rape and murder of Disha had hurt him a lot and added that he once thought there was nothing wrong to kill the accused in an encounter. “ Most of the people of the country have demanded the Telangana government to kill the accused of the brutal murder. I too have two daughters and a sister. The Telangana police have done the same thing that I as a father would have thought of. Hats off to CM KCR and Telangana Police!,” he said in his speech. Citing that the delay in the delivery of justice to the victims of such crimes is leading to the loss of confidence about our legal system, he said that the state government would introduce changes to speed up the justice delivery process.
The CM has also said that they would also introduce a revolutionary bill to contain the propagation of misinformation by anti-social elements on social media and an increase in the usage of porn websites. He said that the state government was committed to the security and safety and welfare of the women of the State.
