Hyderabad: Silver jubilee brahmotsavams at the Kamakoti Sarveswaralayam in West Marredpally, Secunderabad will be celebrated from July 7 to 11.
According to the temple committee here on Thursday, on the concluding day, Kumbhabhishekam would be performed by Pushpagiri Peetadhipathi Jagadguru Sri Abhinavodhananda Vidya Shankara Bharati Swamiji. The Hampi Swamiji will also grace the temple and bless the devotees.
Besides, discourse on “Shiva Tatwalu” will be given by film actor-producer Tanikella Bharani on the temple premises. As part of the brahmostavams, Pavithrotsavam (Shuddi karanam) will be performed on July 7. On the same evening, there would be a Harikatha program by Brahmasri M V Simhachala Sastry. On July 8 – Dwajarohanam will be held followed by a discourse in the evening by renowned Maha Sahasravadhani and by Samrat Garikapati Narasimha Rao. On July 9, Homams and Kalyanams for the deities will be performed throughout the day. On July 10, besides pujas, there would be a holy procession of all deities will be taken out in the streets of West Marredpally. During all these days, paid sevas will be performed on behalf of the devotees, who can register their names in the temple office. (NSS)
