Barkas Junior College gets three Labs to test student’s potential

In order to help the students come out with more result oriented observations while pursuing their professional studies, the Barkas Junior College for Girls got three separate Labs each for Botany, Zoology and Physics to carry out experiments.

The Labs were set into motion on Wednesday when the local corporate Abdul Wahab formally inaugurated the testing rooms by cutting the ribbon during a ceremony. Chief Guest Vice President Barkas Welfare Association Faisal Bin Sayeed Baoum and Senior AIMIM Leaders Talha Saleh Kaseri were among the dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Formed in the year 2008 with just 77 girl students, the Barkas Junior College took a long journey to reach the present strength of 650 students pursuing their studies in three professional streams such as Civics Economic and Commerce (CEC), Maths Physics and Chemistry (MPC) and Biology, Physics and Chemistry (BiPc).

Stood alongside the Barkas area Hospital, the ground-plus-two-story building of Barkas Junior College was constructed with a cost of Rs.3 crores that provides opportunities for the girl students to pursue profession courses in their own neighbourhood. “The college, which ensured a place in top colleges in the mandal for several years by hitting a bullseye in achieving the results, has continued to maintain the second most performing college in Hyderabad City,” informed Talha Saleh Kaseri, a prominent figure of the Barkas area.

Known as a predominant bastion of Arab Community on the southern part of the city, The Barkas area comes under the Chandrayangutta constituency represented by Floor Leader in the Telangana Legislative Assembly Akberuddin Owaisi.

It is said that it was MLA Akberuddin Owaisi whose representation to the government has paved way for the construction of G+2 story collage building with a cost of Rs.3 crores in the area that facilitate the girl students of Barkas and other surrounding colonies to pursue professional courses locally without toiling hard to travel to the city for higher studies.

Principal Mohd. Sadiq, Habeeb Hassan, Shaikh Mohammed Amodi, Iqbal Bin Khalifa,  Sayeed Bakoban, Syed Jameel, Khalid Wahlan, Jaweed Larzi, Akber Ali, Mahmood Awalgi, Taher Bahamed and Mahmod Balahwal and other were presented the occasion.
