Bharat Bandh a total success: CPI

New Delhi: CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana has said the Opposition parties’ Bharat Bandh call against price hike of petrol and diesel evoked total response as the people were groaning under the burden put by Narendra Modi government.

Participating in the Bandh on Monday, Narayana said the price of domestic gas was Rs 400 but the same was doubled after Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister. The price of petrol increased a lot and the value of rupee has fallen to its low and increased the value of dollar rate, he pointed out. It was for first time that the value of rupee touched as low as it never touched in the history of independent nation, he slammed.

Narayana also alleged that rich people were taking loans worth thousands of crores of rupees from the national banks and evading the loans by fleeing to foreign countries. Finding fault with Modi, who said he would bring back black money back, Narayana said Modi didn’t bring black money to India, more so Modi government waived off the lakhs of crores of rupees loans of rich people.

The CPI leader also alleged that the rich people were allowed to make their black money white with the demonetization of big currency notes. During demonetization process, some 120 people died, he alleged. (NSS)
