Bharat Bandh evokes partial response

Hyderabad: The nationwide Bharat Bandh today evoked partial response in the Telangana State. The representatives of different trade unions staged dharna at Dharna Chowk at Indira park today.

The Bandh call was given by the trade unions opposing the Trade Unions Bill, 2018. The central trade unions have decided to hold the Bandh for two days.  The employees of several banks also took part in the agitation.  The unions put forth their 12 demands before the Union government and urged it to concede them immediately.

A total of 10 major trade unions in the country have extended support to the two-day Bandh call. The All India Kisan Mahasabha also extended its total support to the Bandh. Besides general public, farmers also took part in the agitation demanding that the Centre fix Rs 3,500 monthly unemployment wage to them. (NSS)
