Bhatti appeals people not to get cheated by TRS govt

Hyderabad: TCLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday alleged that the dreams and aspirations of people of Telangana were not fulfilled by the TRS Government. He also alleged that the rulers were filing false cases against those who were questioning its acts. He also wondered whether the people of the State had achieved separate Telangana State to become criminals in false cases. He urged the people not to get cheated by the cosmetic changes being made by the State government to attract them.

Speaking at Meet-the-press program organised by Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation here today, Bhatti also targeted the Election Commission for committing several mistakes in the enrollment of voters. He said the onus of clarifying doubts raised by the people lies on the shoulders of the Election Commission. He wanted to know as to why the EC was not saying ‘yes’ for recounting of votes and VVPATs  in the State. Making it clear that they would continue fight on the failures of the EC in the coming days, Bhatti hoped that they would get justice in the High Court.

He also made it clear that they would approach the Supreme Court as well as President, if necessary. Commenting on the relationship among the senior party leaders, he made it clear that there was no Cold War among any party leaders. He predicted that the party would win eight MP seats. Taking pot shots at the state Government, he wondered if the State has any government while pointing out that the cabinet was not expanded in the State even after 50 days of the formation of the State government. Bhatti expressed his anguish at the fire mishap that took place at the Exhibition grounds and demanded that the State government pay suitable compensation to the victims of the exhibition.

Replying to a question on party’s charismatic leader Priyanka Gandhi’s appointment as the incharge of the State, Bhatti declined to comment on the issue as party president Rahul Gandhi would take a call on the issue. (NSS)
