Bhatti raises eyebrows over Rs 2.25 lakh crore outlay for irrigation projects

Hyderabad: CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday said he had never seen Rs 2.25 lakh crore outlay for construction of irrigation projects in the State.

Talking to mediapersons at Assembly lobby in an informal manner, Bhatti said they would visit all the irrigation projects under construction along with a technical team if the State government did not take their concern into consideration. Commenting on his relationship with TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, Vikramarka said he has very close relationship with the former. He made it clear that they would fight against the State government in a constructive manner.

He also alleged that the State government didn’t take up any discussion on public problems and demanded that the State government to initiate discussions on the public problems. He said they would hold the CLP meeting for every 15 days.

Commenting on the defections of the party MLAs, Bhatti said he didn’t think that the Chief Minister, who assured to run the House in a peaceful manner, would resort to any kind of wooing MLAs. On the adjournment of the first day session, he said it was only a formal session and added they would corner the government in the upcoming session. He also said the State government did not give water to even one acre of land in spite of spending Rs 1 lakh crore so far. Vikramarka said he took blessings of senior Congress Leader K. Jana Reddy on his appointment as the CLP leader. (NSS)
