Vijayawada : BJP Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao today questioned the Chandrababu Naidu government on what basis the Agri Gold properties have been valuated. Speaking to the media here today, the BJP leader said the value of the assets of Agri Gold was Rs 25,000 crore in 2014. But now how can its assets value has come down, he asked and demanded that the AP State government to give an explanation about the value of assets of this firm. Taking a dig at Chandrababu Naidu government, Narasimha Rao said the State CID has turned into the Chief Minister’s company. There was no progress on the inquiry being conducted by CID against ministers and MLAs, he alleged.
The BJP leader also accused the TDP leaders of trying to usurp the assets of Agri Gold. The BJP would extend help to Agri Gold to victims and ensure justice to them. A future of action for helping the victims would be finalised after a public meeting at Visakhapatam on October 27, he said. Referring to IT raids in Andhra Pradesh, Narasimha Rao asked as to why TDP leaders were of afraid of IT raids. He also said details of scams and irregularities in Andhra Pradesh would come out soon.
