New Delhi : BJP Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao has asked whether TDP leader CM Ramesh is a “Satya harichandra” who is making comments against IT raids at his residence and places of his relatives. Speaking to media here, Rao contended that IT officials carried raids in other states also and not merely in Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that TDP leaders are trying to wash out their hands by levelling politically motivated allegations. Merely giving explanation by the concerned can not absolve him, it was the IT officials who have to give a clean chit, he said. Meanwhile, BJP AP state president Kanna Laxminarayana in Guntur alleged that the ruling TDP leaders were till now playing politics in the name of Babli project, but now they are making unnecessary noises on IT raids in the state also. IT personnel raided places of Tax violators in the state earlier also, but now they are blaming the centre as if raids are being conducted across the state for no reasons and they are playing drama, Kanna alleged.
The BJP state president questioned why TDP leaders are worried when IT officials have conducted raids on companies of C M Ramesh and Sujana Choudhary. But they did not respond when IT searches were carried at the residence of TDP MLA Modugula.(NSS)
