With the rising coronavirus cases in the UK, British Airways (BA) has announced that they will be issuing digital vaccine passports.
British Airways To Mandate Vaccination Details Before Travel
As per the latest reports, the BA will move forward with the digital vaccine passport whenever some returns from international travel in May. Or whenever the Britons are allowed to travel for the holidays again. The airline will make it mandatory for the travellers to mention their vaccination details (two doses) in the BA app.
This decision comes after the Scottish Labour Party said that some of the passengers were trying to bypass the government’s hotels for quarantine. They were reportedly flying from different airports to avoid the quarantine system.

BA’s Chief Executive Sean Doyle last year in October asked the British government to figure out a plan with other governments to allow travel again as the airlines were left on life support. He asked the government to allow people who have completed their vaccination doses shall be allowed to travel without any restrictions. He further suggested that the ones who aren’t vaccinated must be allowed to travel with a negative test result.
UK Races To Bring The “Normal” Life Back On Track
As per the experts so far, Britain is likely to have another wave of the coronavirus infections amongst the citizens. Reports also reveal that there are different variations of the coronavirus across the region. Following which they don’t suggest restrictions to be eased out any time soon.

However, the cases are constantly increasing and the vaccines are being rolled out across the country. Along with the UK, Britain, China, Russia, USA and Germany are racing towards bringing the normal life back.
