Budget session to continue till Sept 22

Hyderabad : The Budget session of the Telangana Assembly will continue till September 22, according to a decision taken by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting held on the Assembly premises.

According to tentative calendar of dates of Assembly business, general discussion on annual financial statement (Budget) will be held on September 14 and 15 after three holidays on account of Moharrum and Ganesh idols immersion. On September 15 and 16, the Chief Minister will reply to the discussion on annual financial statement on Housing, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, BC Welfare, Minority Welfare and welfare of women, child and disabled. Later, the House will take up government business and Bills on Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Roads and Buildings, Major and Medium Irrigation and Minor Irrigation and Energy. The government business and Bills will continue from September 17 to 21.

The House will take up Telangana Appropriation Bill on September 22 for its approval.
Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy chaired the BAC meeting attended by Leader of the House K Chandrashekhar Rao and leaders Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka of Congress,  Raja Singh of the BJP, Akberuddin Owaisi of MIM and others.  (NSS)
