Cancer screening service on wheels launched in Hyderabad

In collaboration with IIT Hyderabad (IITH), Malla Reddy Narayana Hospitals (MRNH), Suraram, Jeedimetla, Hyderabad have launched a Cancer Screening program.

Screening of more than 100 Contract Workers at IITH by the MRNH Team at IITH’s Primary Health Centre (PHC) was launched on Wednesday by Haragopal, Director of Finance for MRNH, and Prof B S Murty, Director of IITH.

In order to conduct the cancer screening drive, a large Eicher bus is fully loaded with all screening equipment for use during the drive.

Rotary Club of Ameerpet supports the Cancer screening coach, which is operated and managed by the MRNH Team. A doctor’s consultation room, mammography room, colposcopy room, X-ray room, and report room are all available on the bus.

Furthermore, the bus is equipped with a television to display preventive videos, as well as a separate washroom. To drive the Cancer Screening programme on Wheels, MRNH has developed an exclusive, well-trained team.

Dr Bhadra Reddy, Chairman, and Haragopal, Director of Finance at the MRNH, were thanked by Professor B S Murty, who said, “Through this collaboration with MRNH, we will be bringing cancer screening to the doorsteps of our villagers through the MRNH program.”

Health department notification for 1326 positions released

On Wednesday, the Medical Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB), Telangana, announced 1326 vacant posts for doctors in various departments of Health, Medical, and Family Welfare.

A total of 1,326 vacant positions have been notified by MHRSB, of which 751 are for Civil Assistant Surgeons (CAS) in the Directorate of Public Health and Family Welfare (DPHFW), 357 are for Tutors in hospitals under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), 211 are for Civil Assistant Surgeons (CAS) in hospitals under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhan Parishad (TVVP) and seven are for Civil Assistant Surgeons at IPM.

There are nearly 12,000 posts in the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department that will be filled by the notification, which is the first phase of the recruitment process.

Applications for the notified posts are available online at https://mhsrb.telangana.gov.in, and the deadline for submitting applications is August 14, 2022, at 5 p.m.
