Hyderabad: High Court today denied stalling the works of Mallanna Sagar project being taken up under prestigious Kaleswharam project. The High Court agreed to the government appeal to consider as one case by clubbing 175 cases on the same issue and give its direction for logical end. On a petition by the displaced persons the high court has said it will not stall the works of the project.
The people being affected can claim compensation from the government the court felt. The victims of the project can return to us if they failed to get suitable compensation the court said. The court also directed the government provide suitable compensation to the victims of the projects including that of Mallanna Sagar and others. The special bench of Summar vacation said that the court will resolve the issue.
The government gave the compensation amount in form of a cheque to the advocate arguing for the displaced persons who are about 46 to 60. Interim judge RS Chowhan has said that the court will combine all the cases on the same issue and consider it a one and address it. The state government has moved a petition on the same and urged the court to resolve it paving way for speedy completion of the projects in the State.
